Pack the night before
Test-day stress is mostly logistics. Everything on this list should be by the door before you sleep, not gathered in the morning.
- Valid, unexpired passport — the name must match your registration exactly
- National ID as well, if you are a Saudi candidate
- Your booking confirmation with centre address, date and appointment time
- Travel plan for the centre, including a fallback route
- Water and something to eat during the 30-minute break
- Nothing else — everything personal goes in a locker anyway
Arrival and check-in
Prometric procedure is consistent and unhurried, provided you have given yourself time for it.
Arrive 30 minutes early
Check-in is not instant, and a queue of candidates for the same window is normal. Arriving late risks losing the seat and the fee.
Identity verification
Your ID is checked against your registration and you will be photographed. A mismatch between your passport name and your Mumaris Plus record is the one problem that cannot be solved on the day.
Security check and lockers
Expect a scan or pat-down and pocket check. Phone, watch, wallet, bag, notes and food are stored in a locker until the break.
Seating and tutorial
You are seated at an assigned workstation. Use the on-screen tutorial rather than skipping it — it costs nothing from your exam time and confirms how flagging and the review palette behave.
Working the two parts
200 questions, 100 per part, 120 minutes each. Treat the two blocks as separate exams with a reset in between.
- Aim for question 50 at the 55-minute mark to know you are on pace
- Answer every item — there is no penalty for a wrong answer, so never leave a blank
- Flag and move on anything that has taken more than 90 seconds
- Remember up to 10% of items are unscored pilot questions; a strange question is not a signal that you are failing
- Keep the final 10 minutes of each part for flagged items
Using the 30-minute break properly
The break is scheduled, not optional. How you spend it measurably affects part two, which carries exactly the same weight as part one.
- Eat something and drink water — cognitive fatigue in part two is real
- Do not attempt to look anything up; you cannot change part one and it will only unsettle you
- Do not discuss questions with other candidates
- Move: stand, walk, stretch your shoulders before sitting for another two hours
- Return with time to spare so you are not restarting under pressure
After you finish
There is no score on screen. Results are announced two to six weeks after the testing window closes, so plan for the wait.
- Keep your confirmation and any centre paperwork until your result is published
- Watch your Mumaris Plus account and registered email for the announcement
- If your next window is close, keep light revision going rather than stopping entirely
- If you need a resit, you have up to four attempts in the year from your first, one per window
Official sources
Exam structure, break timing and result announcement windows come from SCFHS. Centre-specific check-in procedure follows standard Prometric practice — your booking confirmation is the authority for your own appointment.

Frequently asked questions
What ID do I need for the SNLE?
Bring the valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification you registered with — normally your passport, and your national ID if you are a Saudi candidate. The name must match your Mumaris Plus registration exactly.
How early should I arrive at the Prometric centre?
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your appointment time. Check-in involves ID verification, a photograph, a security check and locker storage, and late arrivals can be refused entry.
Is there a break during the SNLE?
Yes. The exam is delivered in two parts of 100 questions with a scheduled 30-minute break between them.
Can I take anything into the exam room?
No personal items. Phones, watches, bags, notes and food go into a locker. The centre supplies whatever writing material or on-screen calculator is permitted.
Do I get my SNLE result at the centre?
No. Unlike some Prometric exams, SNLE results are announced by SCFHS two to six weeks after the testing window closes.
