Why mock tests move your score more than re-reading notes
Nursing licensing papers test retrieval under time pressure. Re-reading builds recognition; answering questions builds recall and pacing. A mock exposes the two things that fail candidates on the day — slow decision-making and untested weak domains.

How to sit a mock properly
Full length, single sitting
No pausing, no notes, no phone. Partial practice hides the fatigue drop that costs marks in the final third.
Same time of day as your exam
If your slot is 08:00, practise at 08:00. Alertness patterns are trainable.
Flag, do not stall
If a stem takes more than 90 seconds, pick your best option, flag it and return at the end.
The review that actually raises scores
The mock is the data; the review is the learning. Spend at least as long reviewing as you did answering.
- Log every wrong answer with the reason: knowledge gap, misread stem, or changed a correct answer
- Read the rationale for the options you eliminated, not only the correct one
- Group mistakes by domain and drill 40–60 targeted questions in the weakest one before the next mock
- Re-attempt your mistake log a week later — repeat errors are your true weak spots
A three-week mock schedule
Week 1
Two mocks: one diagnostic, one after your first booster drills. Expect the second to be your baseline.
Week 2
Two mocks plus daily 50-question domain sets built from your mistake log.
Week 3
One or two final rehearsals, cheat-sheet revision, and a rest day before the exam.
